Loading required GL library /usr/X11R6/lib64/libGL.so.1.2

It's strange because I have 2 libGL.so.1.2 files : usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2 usr/X11R6/lib64/libGL.so.1.2 Then what is the problem ? Again a 32/64 bit mistake? What about $ CFLAGS in the user-config.py ? "x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" may a possible value for me. My PC:( CPU=AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 2800+ ...

OPENAL FREEALUT OPENGL step by step

It's difficult to give a correct explanation. In another language it's worse. It was fine to disable OPENAL and OPENEXR (WITH_BF_OPENAL = 'false' WITH_BF_OPENEXR = 'false'). But there is no benefit on understanding the building process by this shortcut. If it can help someone. I cleaned my cvs-blend...

Scons build : x86_64 / mandriva2006

Yes it must be a conflct 32 versus 64 bit libs. It's not obvious to find the parameters involved in this behaviour. During a week I have tried to modify the different scons config file, ( or the make files...). I will try to modify only the user-config.py thanks to stiv, (Garfield or Detroit ?) add ...

what is my level ? not very high ?

#include => option of pre-compilation or something like that to import source...( I have forgotten that...) I have forgotten to say that the "missing file" : ImathVec.h exists at the same level that ImathBox.h (wich call it by include). The only difference between this two files is that one is calle...

Want to persevere on errors with scons and make ? Follow me!

"errare humanum est sed persaverare diabolicum" mistakes are human, but to continue making mistakes is the sign of devil OK OK, with the package manager from Mandriva it's possible to download the X86_64 package of OPENEXR. And what ? As stiv say OPENEXR is landing in /usr/lib64/OPENEXR ! nan_defini...

OPENEXR : ILM (Industrial Light & Magic)

OK, OpenExr is an image format from ILM. (http://www.openexr.com/) It's simple to de-activate OpenEXR: USE_OPENEXR = 'false' Dispite of some posts saying that this file is no longer used ( is-it true ? ) we can do something for this. From : http://www.openexr.com/ + download:OpenEXR-1.2.2.tar.gz an ...

building problem on Linux ( x86_64)

I am trying ( and tired from) building blender on a x86_64 PC ( with linux mandriva2006), either with make or SCOns. I have installed a lot of x86_64 lib ( I guess it goes to /usr/lib64 ). I am very surprise by the big among of time of compiling (8-10mn) before it stops on error : source/blender/imb...

Documentation from blender geeks could be fabulous! But be aware that new users wants to learn fast and hassleless. They also want to have an idea of what blender can do. It could be interesstig to have a group of new user to evaluate the documentation. I see blender a few month ago. As a new user o...
