Yes, I apologize.

Well, Granny file format is proprietary and very volatile.

There was a project "evegr2toobj.exe" that had source released. That was the closest I ever get to gr2 files.

Anyway, I would start with examining the Rad Game Tools files.

No direct support.

Export to Wavefront OBJ in Poser and import in Blender. Then you need to hunt down textures files. (Although I'm using a very old version of Poser.)

My file always seems to be 'dirty' to maya... Blender does the opposite. It seems to 'think' I know what I'm doing. Erm, no. Even if I just select another vertex (so nothing changed on the mesh, just selected a different vertex) Blender flags the file for writing. Or just exiting Edit mode flags it...

Well, in Blender you use materials which can have 18 textures assigned. Materials can be shared across objects.

But true, Blender desperately needs a material library. A French dude concocted something but it's still not in the trunk.

Unreadable tooltip text

I have asked this on BA, too. Anyway, I have this problem with tooltip text. They are unreadable. All other texts are normal.

Anyone knows what could be the problem?

Blender v2.64 64bit on winXP64.

Probably the textures' paths are not right in the Properties panel. Check them.

And also you can pack them into the .blend file.

Ok, to answer my own question: need to convert bytearray instead and then it's free to manipulate in any way to wish.

Re: Can I use blender as library (with out gui)

You would be better to do your simulation in Blenderplayer.

I have seen the Blender code. You don't wanna do this. :D

If you really want to this you can lookup the dude who controlled a robotic arm with Blender. Pretty neat stuff but not for the faint hearted. :D

Interesting topic. Anyway, I tried your code and it works.

But srsly.... but it's just slow. And with slow I mean it's freaking mighty slow.

Why is that?

Yes this question comes up quite often everywhere. Gimp with Blender's GUI would be like heaven.

Problem is, it will never happen. :/
