Problem fixed, the culprit was the HP notebook "Switchable graphics" feature.

Windows 7 - 64 bit
6 GB Ram
Intel Core i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30 Ghz
AMD Radeon HD 6490M (1 GB GDDR5)

Blender is sloooooow! I've just done a default install.
All the menus and buttons are responding after one, two seconds only.

Do I need to adjust settings (graphics card or other) somewhere?
