Filter2D and sidebyside

Are there any known issues with Filter2D and sidebyside? What I have encountered appears to be fairly serious but I have been unable to find any topics on this, let alone bug reports. I'm using blender 2.68 in both Linux and Windows. Using Game Engine. I have the base Cube scene. I have applied sepi...

Invalid Pointers from default Cube blend file. ???

Hello everyone. I am currently developing ASCII read/write functionality for blend files. I'll gladly share out my results but this is simply a personal project of mine. I currently use DNA/SDNA to write this so it is low on the intrusive scale and the write functionality uses a majority of the exis...

Is there any reason to not gradually move from C to C++ for some OOP features other than unfamiliarity with C++? Yes. Re-writing code in another language is pointless and silly. I'm not asking to rewrite blender in C++, I'm asking if C++ modules are accepted, and at what level? You mention rewritin...

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. It definitely is a daunting task. The solution I provided above seems good to me since it shouldn't make additional work for others. I'd just need to write a general reader/parser similar to what is there with binary data. The only changes I can think of are: ...

Human Readable Format

Hi everyone. I was doing a little poking around regarding moving away from a binary file format to an ascii file format. The motivation for this is better integration with RCS which would increase our workflow considerably. (Being able to merge blender files would be a gigantic plus) The best approa...

c++

Hello.

Is C++ code accepted in blender? I noticed that there isn't much of it other than in the somewhat disjoint game engine.

Is there any reason to not gradually move from C to C++ for some OOP features other than unfamiliarity with C++?

Thanks,
Colin

Add Object actuator, generate with name

Hey, thought I would post my changes to KX_SCA_AddObjectActuator::PyInstantAddObject. I needed this change to granularly send messages to my dynamically created objects. KX_SCA_AddObjectActuator.h KX_PYMETHOD_DOC_VARARGS(KX_SCA_AddObjectActuator,InstantAddObject); KX_SCA_AddObjectActuator.cpp PyMeth...

BGE: Raycasting Sensor and Physics

Hi, In Blender 2.61 is it intentional that raycasting be disabled when physics is disabled on an object? This wasn't the case in 2.5 and it took quite a while to figure out why I couldn't click my game objects anymore. It seems a little overkill to have to enable all of physics on an object to get "...
