Still can't export a pre-defined texture to FXB format...

(Synopsis: Is it POSSIBLE to export a non-bitmap texture from Blender to FXB format?) Hi all - Sorry if I appear to be beating a dead horse. Thanks to help I recieved in this forum and some YouTube tutorials, I was able to export a mesh with a texture from an external bitmap (a PNG file) and display...

Problem half solved ... thanks

Thanks CodeManX and Stiv (?). Your information help solve my problem of exporting an UV mapped image texture. Now if I could only figure out how to export a non-image texture. (On created in Blender without importing an image.) I've tried applied the same principles that worked for an image, but I j...

Thanks, Stiv. I'll bet your right. Thanks for the pointer.

Now then ... um ... how do I go about taking my JPG texture and converting it to a UV texture to export ... as you said.

Thanks in advance.

Exporting textured mesh to FXB format for use in XNA ...

Hi all - I'm creating a model in Blender. Just a sphere or elipsoid and I'm importing a JPG image as a texture. It looks great when I render it in Blender. But when I export to FXB format and display it in XNA, it just appears white ... no texture whatsoever. I'm reviewing the .FXB file and I cannot...

1 of 2 joined meshes disappears when background is displayed

Hi all - I'm a noob to Blender and 3D modelling, but need to learn to use it professionally. I've created a model that is an M&M -- an elipsoid with a text 'm' on its face. I've converted the text to a mesh and joined it to the elipsoid mesh. I export it over to an XNA project and display it rotatin...

Wow. Thank you, sir. Problem solved.

(Wasn't actually an Apply Menu, but rather an Apply item on the Object menu.)

Maybe you need to apply the Scale before you export. Um ... not sure what you mean. I thought I WAS applying the scale before export. Does scaling need to be explicitly "applied" by clicking some "Apply" button? I scale it. It appears scaled. I render it, and see the scaling correctly. Then I save ...

Exporting to .fbx format loses major aspects of mesh(es)...

Hi all, I'm a noob here so please be patient. I'm running into an odd Blender .fbx exporter problem. In short, I model an M&M by creating a sphere, then scaling it 0.65 on one axis. Then I save it and export it to .FBX format. (Yes, I've tried it with both render modes.) When I export it and display...
