After you have converted the text into a mesh, then select all and 'remove doubles'. That should remove any duplicate polys that are causing the z-fighting that you see at render time. I'm very sorry to be such a pain, but this software is certainly a bit different than any that I've used before. T...

This should help... http://www.blender.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21211 I did read the information at that viewtopic, and I'm afraid I still don't exactly understand. I selected the three sections of text in my blender project and after selecting each of them I hit ALT-C. It opened the small window ...

Are there ways to eliminate artifacts from rendered images

I'm creating an animated logo. When it is rendered, about 45% of all of the Letter "T" have black artifacts in them. They resemble lightning bolts. The only way I have come up with to handle the problem is to bring the images into Photoshop and clean them up. The animations I am doing create 600 ima...

Where is the window that I can watch the rendering progress

I'm a bit embarassed. I'm still quite new, but I'm learning everyday. There are so many windows to open that It is quite easy to get lost in Blender. I have a project rendering, as I write this, and I can't figure out how to get to the window to watch this rendering process as it is occuring....

Under the Render tab, there is an “Output” panel. Here you choose the directory to which to render animation frames, and the format. I would recommend sticking with a high-quality single-frame format, like PNG (or maybe OpenEXR for pro work). That way each frame of the animation is generated as a s...

It would help to know what you rendered it as. Did you render it as a video format, or is there a folder somewhere full of several hundred png files? If the later, you can import the images into Movie Maker and have them exported as a video file in a specified frame-rate. Hi, I'm sorry  I jus...

I'm new and confused. Once I render animation how to use it?

I'm very new to blender. I created a logo to use as the beginning of a video. You may have seen it before. The animated Fox movie Logo. I created it and my computer spent the next 24 hours to render it. I can't for the life of me figure out how to now use it. I can't even figure out how to play back...
