I found this website to be a good starting point for me easing myself into Blender:

It is a complete course that contains both text and video materials.

Thank you, j kaulfers for your response and for the useful hints. When I saw the 2nd line in the referenced document stating that it is "Relevant to Blender 2.36" I was afraid that it may be missing on a lot of functionality since Blender has evolved so much since that version and I was just looking...

The one published in this website is pretty old and I am not sure if all the hotkeys are still relevent:
