I suggest having the maze as a static object (collisions off), and the character dynamic (collisions on).
The maze or any other environment doesn't care it you walk into it, but the moving player does.

Well I'm not entirely sure what you want it to do, but if you mean just modeling it, i suggest that you use this and a few other pictures (front and side) and use that as a reference as you model your box. You can split your view into front and side to help you get a feel as you work on it making it...
