Re: Render Problem help..

Hello, i'm having a problem with cycles, when i select 1000 samples it only render 135, why is this happening? I'm new at blender. It could be that the 1000 is for the "preview' and the actual render amount is set to 135. Preview samples are different than actual render samples. Preview samples are...

wat about facebook? I guess But its not only the image or the render of your scene we would want, what we really want is to take a look at your .blend file. Google "Free file hosting" and find a good file hosting service, then upload the .blend file. Then post a link to it here. If you aren't clear...

If its a mesh, then only wise option is better textures, include a bump/displacement map.

Painted? Painted how?
That's not saying much, would need your scene to properly diagnose.

Not that I know of Charlie. Would just have to move your elements into respective layers after import.

Re: 2.65 How to attach camera to path?

Sure, 1. Select camera, then shift+click to select the path as well. 2. Press Ctrl +p>follow path. 3. Rotate and position your camera to the start of the dotted lines connecting the camera and path. To animate the camera, in the curves panel find the "path animation" roll out and check "path animati...

Re: blender cycles question

Do you mean in the viewport or whenever you render? Either way, cycles materials are totally different than the blender internal renderer's materials. Meaning, you cant create a blender render material then switch to cycles and expect it to work, you need to use cycles node materials and textures. H...

Re: Masking materials in cycles

Hey modula, Add a mix shader. Add material 1 and material 2 that you would like to mix respectively. Then, what ever image you what to use as a mask for the two materials add it into the "Fac" plug of the mix node, maybe use a color mix node and a value node to control the influence of the masking i...

Re: Passes in Cycles render

Short answer, for render passes, look within the render tab and twirl down the layers drop down. There you will find options for setting passes. 1. Chose the passes you want. 2. Chose file type (preferably one that supports alpha channel) 3. Chose save location 4. Hit F12 to render. When render is c...

Re: How to not make armature deform jewelry on a character?

Hey Zooomj, with just a quick look I have one suggestion. You could modify the weights influence of specific bones within the armature. I think its just a simple case of bones influencing areas that they shouldn't. Let me know if it helps or if you have any further trouble. ............................

Re: Linking projects

Vigo, you can do this by simply using the file>link(ctrl+alt+O) command. Navigate to the .blend file that contains the object you would like to link. Immediately, you will realize that a .blend file is really a directory in itself. You will see folders for: brush, camera, lamp, object, materials etc...
