Lots of topics online are saying hit 'N' in edit mode to pull up the view properties menu. 'N' brings up the transform properties and the view properties menu doesn't show normals for me anyways.
2.49 must be different. Does anyone know how to view normals in 2.49?

I have a basketball texture I'm trying to apply to a sphere. I've created a material and the material looks correct. But the render looks like a mess. Not sure what I did wrong while rigging
When I'm in Pose mode and grab a bone, the bone I grabbed usually turns brown.
