thanks brasshat

I'm pretty sure that I don't have any malware on my machines, sice there is no other indication to be worried - but one never knows... Might do a check anyway.
Thanks for the input.

When that happens, an applications starts swapping. If you could tell Blender to use less memory, you would start swapping sooner. That sounds worse. right stiv, as it is now, blender fills up all memory, then it starts swapping (while compositing, not with 3d or texturing work). This is not happen...

Thank you brasshat for the reply. Not exactly anderstanding what you mean with 'memory leak', I googled it. On Wikipedia it says: ...a memory leak (or leakage, in this context) occurs when a computer program incorrectly manages memory allocations... does this mean there might be some blender interna...

As I am scrolling around on the time line, my RAM gets slowly filled up, so that if I don't watch the Windows Task Manager, it starts sw...

Re: problems while rendering animation

Hi I'm actually running in the same problems as discribed, rendering with the blender render (no cycles). blender freezes after a couple of render frames (sometimes after 30+, sometimes after 100+-), and I have to restart it. This happens with different scenes. I'm running a Win7 64 i7 PC with 8GB R...
