hey my $0.02 I think the docs should be in XML. Why? Everybody out there can edit it with a text editor, it's viewable in a web browser, it can be converted extreamly easily to other formats ie PDF, HTML, RTF. I've never actually heard of docbook, but I've heard some critisisms here, maybe we should...

I noticed a slowdown in rendering too, but this has nothing to do with nikolatesla20 's compiled version of Blender. The official 2.25 has the same bug/feature.
