GUI script is reset on undo

any python script with a gui, eg interactive console, will be reset/stopped when you do 'strg z' in 3d view

is it possible to avoid this?
is this a bug or by design?

blender (2.44) 32bit linux
i had it also tested on windows, same effect

(is this the right forum? if not please move)

ok. this is a piece of code from my script 'showVertIndex', it selects the vert with a give index Window.EditMode(0) me = ob.getData() for v in me.verts: v.sel = 0 me.verts[index].sel = 1 me.update() Window.EditMode(1) this is the other post where i answered your question http://www.blender.org/foru...

Window.EditMode(1) o.getData().verts[1].sel = 1 o.getData().update() Window.EditMode(0) print o.getData().verts[1].sel this should not work o.getData() reads the data as it should. you set a vertex to selected and then re-read the mesh data, this should reset your changes... try this instead me = o...

i know it's a test build but try this: zoom in a good amount, then try to select (rmb) a vert (my testobject: a suze, subdiv multi: 2) this should select a vert that's probably out of view, if not then you've not zoomed enough. i can provide a blend if needed this does not work when in solid mode an...

waiting for 2.33 now ... some other things: - setTracked() : there's only getTracked(), this would be useful - setActiveWorld(), or is there a way to do this in py? there's also a problem with these chars: [] <> \ {} input works in the interface, but not in the text editor. this is no real py-reques...

ok, here's the rest: - when there's a sce.render() command, then you'll have to be able to control rendersize (meaning not 800x600, but 100% 50% ...) - the next thing is a specific filename for the rendered image, given from the script - the format (tga, jpg...) - and setting BW, RGB and RGBA button...

Re: Compiling in VC6++

not created using developer studio this is a problem with the "end of line" (?) the code you download uses "chr(10)" [basic] only, standard windoze endofline is "chr(10) + chr(13)" so VS doesn't recognize it :cry: i could send you a windoze program to convert all #10 to #13 for the most textfiles i...
