Yeah, there is a performance hit, but i have TNT2 too :)
but on small scene you can't notice it. Maybe the AA would be good for example curve editing??

It is not bigger than your screen, it is exacly the size of your screen. It is fullscreen and has no window decorations and you can't move it.

To start blender in windowed mode use ' -w ' switch.

Have fun

my suggestion

The blender has nice windowing system which allows you modify, by splitting/joining/resizing windows, the way blender looks. Additionally you can have many views(called screens) that you can switch any time. And you can save your costumized interface by pressing Ctrl-U. These are the things that man...

wheee. How could people post stuff without those cute smileys. No really. Newserver(nntp) would be the best forum, it is low on traffic, fast for clients. But people think that nuke is cool so you are talking to the wall now. Anyway i hope that most important information will move in mailinglist so ...

Hey! Don't forget that the blenders greatness lies in it's interface. There is no great physics system, no ubercool materials and the renderer is a bit limited(it is quite nice though). The interface is what makes blender great(ok.ok. gameengine too for some people), lets improve the interface, make...

render plugin

What about render plugins? Lets make blenders renderer the default plugin and with the time write other plugins for blender. Compared to interface plugins this is quite sane plan. And every plugin should define it's own material interface and render window. So with BMRT we could edit bmrt materials....

Successful compile with ICC

Not exacly a porting, but it is good to know that Blender compiles using ICC out of the box. Atleast you know that blender is really easy to port. Although I and many others had had about 30% of speed improvement using ICC, it does not seem to affect blenders speed. gcc3.2 and icc versions are quite...
