Man, you already got attention from the right people. Broken(Matt Ebb) is a fully fledged developer, and so far as I remember he already explained that it's done that way fairly regularly across many renderers. If you don't want to listen to him, or don't consider him 'the right person' just because...

Kainstein: No, though I did work through some of it, I'll admit I didn't read all of your pamphlet-sized dissertation. I'm really mostly saying that there's probably a much, much more concise way of putting whatever you may have been trying to get at.

Holy crap, kAinStein, slow down before you break something. Not every single suggestion for the UI sucks, and not everyone who mentions something is a foe of blender and should be stomped on with as many line-by-line nitpicks and as much endless ranting as possible.

1. Don't resurrect old threads.
2. Find something better to do with your time then get offended about harmless stuff like this.
3. Yes, there are stupid people, and I have observed them and met them many times.
4. Don't resurrect old threads.

In those hints of 'do it yourself then' you appear to be spreading, I think you may have left out the fact that mixer might have trouble re-writing the thing if the previous version hasn't actually told him anything.

It's understandable that you had a lot of trouble with the first animation in 30+30 minutes thing, because that intro sucks, a lot. I recommend as an alternative, Ryan Dale's introduction to character animation piece in the Summer of Documentation as a start. In fact, I recommend a lot of the BSoD. ...

In the preferences there's a 'Select With: Left Mouse' option that lets you invert it back to left being the primary button for everything. There are a couple problems with it and stuff, but a lot of input problems should be fixed with the 2.50 event system refactor.

And you don't think you might be taking your whole life just a wee bit too seriously? Honestly, do you think Ton sits around clapping his hands and going "teeheehee! those stupid suckers down there won't know what hit them when my totally rad and intensely personal insult targeted with malicious pre...

As a matter of fact yes. :P Feel free to run wild and crazy. My apologies on that, by the way, I'm used to trying to calm the fury of blender fanboys.
