I would love to see a new layers system utilize either folders or groups. It would be useful for organization in complex scenes.

Also: Why not an unlimited number of layers?

Trusted computing is simply one of the devices that will help marginalize Microsoft and Window's dominance in the market. For those of us who have been wishing for a greater opening for alternative Operating Systems, Trusted Computing is one of those misfires in the making that could help wake up co...

I'm going to bump this thread again because I would like to see some cleanup the testing build thread. There are sticky threads going back to March, which was two release cycles ago. If these older threads have historical merit, then perhaps a new forum topic should be created to store such threads ...

Is there a better way for me to make suggestions for changes to the forum? I thought there would be stronger reception to this idea.

Testing build section

I'd like to suggest the testing builds section should be split into several sections, one for each major operating system. It might encourage people to post test builds more often and would make it easier for users to find pre-built binaries appropriate to their machine. The testing build section mo...

B. Foundation Logo Theft

EDIT -

The page has changed, and the logo is no longer present. The page originally was for a web hosting company. A site is now published on the URL I provided, so the logo is no longer present.

I'll update if I can find the the webhosting company and an example of the BF logo.

There is probably a copyright on images used.

The images he is using to promote his ebay sale are not his property. He is most likely violating the copyright of whoever created those screencaps.

sub-surf loading bug?

Numerous crashes when loading scenes with sub-surf objects.

I made copies of these scenes and in 2.36 I turned off all sub-surfs. Scenes then load fine in 2.37rc2.

Perhaps adding the target launch dates to the B-Con Release Condition portlet on the home page would be a good thing for holding off this question in the future.

I'm on Fedora Core 1 with the latest updates. I have Python 2.34 installed. I can run bf-blender-20040715 without problems.

bf-blender-20040720 generates the following:

./blender: error while loading shared libraries: libpython2.3.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Somebody correct me if I'm mistaken - HLSL is for Windows and Direct X, and Blender runs on many platforms that MS does not support with Direct X.

It would make sense to me that if I am selecting a loop and it runs into my hidden faces, that those faces should mementarily become visible. As the cursor moves over different edge loops You would see the yellow outline run into the hidden area, and the impacted faces become visible. When you hit E...
