Hey Oin! Nice to hear you again.Thank you for testing that script and for all tests you've done before.Glad to know it works well for you. -In a few days I'll upload another release of the exporter which will include some options in normals exporting and the swapyz for the "Export selected object"(x...

....with the adjust matrix you fix only the orientation of the bones but not of the meshes.This way will get the armature rotated and the mesh not.You must apply the adjust matrix to all matrices. There is a "writeFrame(self,matx)" in the exporter.You can apply there(adjust matrix*matx) in order to ...

The version you have posted dont work with 241.It uses the old api for the armatures so cannot work. ...maybe the link is wrong :wink: I have never tested the exporter with DX8, but my instinct is that it is backwards compatible, at least for simple meshes. yes it's compatible,not only for the simpl...

I think(I'm not so sure anyway...)that localMatrix contains
the relative transformation between the first frame and another
frame,it contains only the changes not a position.It must be
multiplied with another matrix(in world,armature or bone space)
to get the total transformation.

Yes, its right but a copy of the matrix has other problems,it gives always the same values of the poseMatrix, so we loose the animation.Here is a little example which shows the problem: http://xoomer.virgilio.it/glabro1/Pose_bug.blend 1 - Open the blend and run the script Text1 with the multiple win...

-The poseMatrix has some strange behaviours.In the documentation
is written it's not settable.Anyway in an example like this:

Code: Select all

pose_mat = pose_bone.poseMatrix
pose_mat.invert()
-the bone is transformed in the 3d view.This happens more frequently
if no 3d view is on the screen.

this build has the Pose module http://blender.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7450 and : pose = ArmatureObject.getPose() bones_dict = pose.bones pose_bone = bones_dict[bone.name] get the pose for a given bone.Then you get from that -localMatrix -poseMatrix Can someone please, explain in which space are th...

sorry,if you need the mesh data of that object,
isn't better to get the mesh:

Code: Select all

mesh = obj.getData()
instead of creating a new mesh.This way it's the mesh
linked to the object.
