Where should I go?

Thanks for the quick answer, I figured it would be something like that. Thought I'd ask anyways. :D

Any suggestions where I should go to get this put on a list of wishful thinking updates?

Rendering Occlusion and Environment Maps only use 50% CPU

I have an AMD dual core x64 processor and when rendering with threads it will use both cores fully. However, preparing the Approximate Ambient Occlusion and Environment Maps only uses 50% of my CPU and sits there pretty steady till its done and can render the full frame and then goes up to full proc...

make sure it checks for texture changes as a TV object may not have moved but the texture would have.

I talked with the X3D guys at siggraph... the flux web plugin for X3D is now opensource. Unfortunately though its only windows at the moment. But definitely something to look into.

As this will be my first Siggraph I am planning on taking a bunch of the classes to experience that.. but I should be able to keep a day or two open for helping out at the booth if needed. I'm fairly comfortable demoing functionality in front of people and could probably bring some of the production...

I'm looking forward to it! This will be my first time attending siggraph. I plan to drop by the booth for sure! Already have a full schedule of classes and sessions I want to attend. But I think I'll also be there for a day or so after those end. Have to consult my calendar later on that.

I'll second that....
Lots of ram and as fast a processor as you can get! I'd also recommend Linux or OSX for your OS when just rendering. Handles memory a little better in my "opinion".

Create groups from closest bone not working?

Is it just me or in 2.40 and 2.41 does the create groups from closest bones not work? I've tried it in both version on Windows XP Pro on two different machines. It first happened to me on an older file I was opening and trying to rig a character... so I tried it in a default blend file with just the...

I would love the teachers area. I am not a full time teacher but do teach at a local community college now and again. I know that they will be asking me to do more 3D Animation type classes as the one I did a year or two ago (using blender) was very succesfull. The hardest part was creating all my e...

bjornmose, Thanks for the clarification. several hours after posting I figured it out. And thanks for the tip on the sticky selection modifiers. Works as expected now! :) This is no bug .. though a little hard to understand. Where ever faces meet there is not only one UV "vertex'" but one for every ...

The live LCSM Update feature has a bug I think. I tried just putting some seems on a cube to unwrap it and try it out. It works a lot of the time. But every now and again when I grab a pin or set of pins it doesn't allow me to move them. If I reselect some other pins sometime and then select the ori...

Live LCSM doesn't allow me to select and move pinned vertexs sometimes. Its sorta random... not sure why.

Copy Paths?

Another idea that would be cool. The ability to copy a bone path as a curve object? This may be pretty easy to do as it is sorta already being done to display the curves/paths. It could be used for visualizing motions for rendering paths into a sequence. There are probably other applications for it ...

Love the bone paths! Though it would be even better if you could both show the key positions for the bones on those paths as well as modify them. This could be usefully for any motion path ipos! Reminds me of lightwaves more recent addition to their particle engine that you can see and modify the mo...

There should be OpenGL on windowsXP64. Lightwave64 runs fine on windows64. You just need to make sure you have proper drivers for your video card. As far as I know both ATI and nVidia have 64bit drivers available. That doesn't mean that their OpenGL implementation is enough for Blender however. From...
