That is unfortunate.
setFilename() does not seem to work either.

Guess I need to start coding.

Game Engine - Sound Actuator/Python

I have just started working with scripting to control the sound actuator and I have come across some unexpected behavior. Just wanted some input as to whether I am doing this right or not. I have set up a simple script, which when activated with a sensor determines whether or not a sound is played. ...

With 2.25 on OSX, setMousePosition() does not work (which sends you flying uncontrolled) and with 2.34 mouse movement pretty much freezes up or becomes extremely un-responsive. I haven't successfully made a first person .blend that works properly on OSX since I started using Blender. If there are an...

Blender Runtime Bastardization

OK, I have been keeping a lazy eye on this post because creating a stand-alone .app is important to me for "game" distributions. My earlier problem with creating run-times is due to the fact that I am running OSX 10.2.8 (I am not ready to pay for an update so that I can use my free software yet). Th...

No, There is no Blenderplayer.app in the Blender folder (OS X 10.2.8, don't know about 10.3)

Just the Blender.app which does not have the player inside, but you are right. The .blend file gets renamed to game.blend ... etc.

But thanks for the reply.

Yes, Help the Mac users! But first I apologize for not welcoming you to the Blender community right away. Instead I ranted about my problems. Every person counts here. Welcome!! I'm still hanging in there. So what if I can't make a runtime with 2.34. I still have a lot of work to do before I even sh...

OSX Error creating runtime.

I had the same problem http://www.blender.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=4170 I don't think there are a lot of people on our side. Probably better luck getting it fixed by buying a pee-cee. No, I'm not bitter considering it hasn't worked right since, hmm I don't think it eve...

Unable to make runtime (Blender 2.34, OSX 10.2.8)

OK, great day, hooray and all that. I just got wind of the new 2.34 release and download it to try the new stand alone features with my project. But, unfortunately it will not work. It just tells me "ERROR: Unable to make runtime. Unable to find runtime." So what magic do I need to perform to make t...

I have seen multiple posts on this project and just had to take the time to stop and say I really like it. Very different, definitely not a "game" so to say. It also has a nice look to it.

Keep up the quality work.

Just in case you wanted to know, I tried the exact same file on my OS X machine. The actor falls through the floor, but not at a predictable interval. Three, Four or Five tries before it happens sometimes and it make no difference if the mesh had a material or not.

Thanks for listening,

Well, I knew about falling though the floor because it happens every 5 mins but I didn't put the two together to figure out it was a repeating number of times. just trying to help out. Right this second, I am on a Win32 machine(2KPRO), but also have the same problem in OS X (10.2.8) although I haven...

Ok, here it goes. I am no expert by any means, just tiring to help out. If anything seems obliviously stupid or redundant, say so. Just happy to get something new to test! Specs: Apple iBook 500Mhz G3, 193MB Memory, ATI 32MB Video. (So frame rates are not that great to begin with) Start: Blender wou...

I would really be excited to see an OSX build if someone wants to share. I am not much at compiling (and Fink) and my project has kept me busy enough. Do sound and setMousePosition work properly in the new OSX builds? Thanks for any info (I seem to only see Windows and Linux builds on the forums). f...
