Hi all, The append mode is as good as the brand name i.e. NO BUG as I claimed. Ok, problem found and solved
Again hello world, Found one bug, (I supposed so) that under append right mouse click to select more than one doesn't suit its purpose to "select" then/and append to another file. Unable to help on Mandriva ...
How I felt about all these ... may be same as you ... disgruntled by the fact we invest in 64b x2 and under perform. May be blender is not ready for any 64 bit linux distro ... problems ...one after another. I have tried other blender-linux from FC5, Ubuntu, Dream Linux, Gentoo and finally Mandriva....

Hi, You are not alone ! Each time I extrude it crashed out then I upgrade some mdv dependency files/drivers. It works ( well, .. to a certain extend) extrude, render and rig, animate but when I exit out of Blender follow by any other other applications (Gimp, inkscape etc) the whole Man2007 restart ...
