Ok my bad, but it's still kind of hidden, I didn't find it before you mention it ;) A bigger more noticeable link wouldn't be a bad idea imho.

Shouldn't the wiki be placed under Education & Help instead of under the Development section (or mabye both?). I also think there sholud be a link to the wiki on the front page.

The is good we shouldn't hide it ;)

Then when I go to create my next model in my scene, or start working on a new layer, the previous models and layers are stuck in object mode and I can no longer modify them. I see the edit mode as an option, and I have my model selected, but when I click on edit mode, it remains in object mode. Tab...

I believe transform properties in blender is the closest you will come to Mayas channel box. It's easier when you cut. Sure you may have to clean up some new verts afterwards, but that often also goes for Ngon modeling. I would say the opposite, having Ngons would make cutting easier, it adds more freedom, don't add unwanted geometry which make the clean up process easier. I don't like car...

Only been using blender for 1/2+ years, but 7 years as a 3ds max user makes me quite experinced. I'm always open to changes, especially interface chages were I think there's a lot room for improvment. Go blender! =)

Huh? You mean rendering out a image (jpeg etc.) and use it as background? You can't use a .blend file which contains 3d geomerty and other stuff, directly as a windows desktop background.

Anyway these sorts of questions are better asked in a forum like www.blenderarist.org, this is a developer forum.

I would really like it if you could have the option to hide groups when in sculpt mode- it makes it extremely difficult to sculpt accurately when there is another part of the model in the way You can hide parts of the mesh using Shift+Ctrl...

What's wrong with Suzanne? I don't see any reson why to add the Utah teapot to blenders list of pimitives. For material test etc. the Suzanne primitive works just fine, no need for a teapot.
