Retrieving points/vertex information from particles

Hi,

Having obtained the particle object via

p = bpy.data.particles[0]

I can get the particle count via p.count

How do I obtain the particle position/vertex information?

If the particle system is 'Hair', is the data layed out folded as stride size of hair_step ?

Regards

PyThreadState_Get error on OS X 10.5 PPC

Hi, I have build a Python extension (via Swig 2.0.4) which I am able to import/load in Python3.2 on OS X 10.5.8 PPC However, when I tried to import the same module in Blenders Python console, I get this error: found bundled python: /opt/blender/v2.58/blender.app/Contents/MacOS/2.58/python Fatal Pyth...

RIB export availability

When will the RIB export plug-in be available for download as part of the main source?

Is it available with the current release?

Cheers

Getting blenderman script

The getCurrentScene() command is from the old 210 API, which has been dropped as of Publisher 2.25. Use instead Blender.Scene.getCurrent(). Also, the ribexport.py script has been updated considerably, look for Green's BlenderMan script at elysiun (I have it if you can't download it anymore). Also, ...

[Q] getCurrentScene() not found?

I had a look at the ribexport.py example from CVS but when I tried to run it, Blender 2.26 says that there is no method call getCurrentScene(). Is the Python interface undergoing some API changes? Who is maintaining the ribexport.py script in CVS? What happened to the getCurrentScene() method? Cheer...

Object Orient Window usage

Is it possible to use the Object Orient Window to edit the parameter of the selected object? I was wondering if I can use the Object Orient Window like Houdini's OP Network diagram. A couple of other software has similar concept e.g. AVS, OpenDX and SGI Explorer. It makes it a lot easier to tweak an...

For that reason I prefer to continue examining the Python approach. For example, we can make a built-in Python module (compiled) which does the calculations which require speed. Like matrix stuff or pixel operations. That way, python scripts can be used for textures and image manipulation as well. ...

in the Script window in Blender, you can link Python scripts to different events including OnLoad. Maybe that could help you.

Can you list the steps? How do I invoke the Script window to change the events?

Command line load/execute of python script

I use PythonWin.exe to edit my python script in a console window. Is there a way to start e.g. blenderpublisher with some command line argument that loads a python script and execute it? Like: blender.exe -script mypythonscript.py -executescript I'd like PythonWin for editing Python as it has syntax...
