It works fine for me with window installer on vista home premium, the one with .msi.
You might need administrative privilege to run the installation file because it will access the registry.

Blender Compilation success with questions on openexr

Hello, After two days of frustration, I am finally able to compile and obtain a customized version of Blender by editing the win32-vc-config python script in the config directory to disable the quicktime and openexr library. I was having major problem with openexr. The library IlmImf.lib had generat...

Thanks! I tried using Scons. It has created a built directory which contains a bunch of subdirectories. What are those directories for? It seems to generate a lot of warnings during compilation. It is impossible to see what they are until some errors stop the compilation. I managed to finish the com...

missing dna.c

Hello,

Can someone help me on this? I converted all the VC++ project files from VS7 into VS2005 format. A few projects include the dna.c file which is nowhere to be found in the source tree.

The following lib file is also missing in my system (Vista, MSVS2005):
Glaux.lib

Thanks!

My microsoft wireless laser mouse has the same problem with Blender on Window Vista. The suggestion at the above website does not fix the problem. The mouse wheel can only be assigned to zoom in one direction only. The same mouse works fine with Blender under window XP. Also, the mouse works fine wi...
