P.S. I am an industrial designer by trade (interfaces are a speciality). Ton, give me a call. If someone pays for/provides my accommodation and food in the Netherlands for a year I will work for free. This is a real offer. As an industrial Designer I present little value to help in the code departm...

Yes Very Uncool shortcut!!!! Just lost my file. I also note that no autosave is created when doing this, and no-undo’s are possible. Gutting, i don't know how many years I’ve been fighting for "Intelligent handling of file operations" but i gave up fighting about 8 years ago when i realised Ton was ...

I have tried all versions, none work.

I have tried both 2.4 and 2.3 neither even open. so i am assuming that its not a python issue.

What version of python does 10.4.5 ship with.

lukep i am not sure. the problem is they are "university" machines. they are locked down in so many ways that mean i cannot install or change anything. if i were to request python 2.4 be installed it would mean a 6 month + battle to get the university to approve it. whereas Maya, Studio tools, Zbrus...

jesterking a nice sollution to the whole backing up the blender.exe file is to rename the new one. from the same directory you can have as many different builds as you want. i commonly have blender.exe (as the BF build) then the intel optimised one i will just call blenderintel.exe etc.... i hate to...

i've done this as you said (-w -d) however in windows i seem to get no error printouts in the dos window. however Windows XP seems to take over the error printout with the "crash report" that microsoft wants to be sent. i am wondering if the microsoft error message is taking over the Blender one, or...

yeah i'd love this two. the only way i have ever managed to do this is by duplicating a mesh, splitting it into the different parts, (with slight overlap) then changing the size of one of the meshs ever so slightly to be over the other, and using a UV mapped alpha channel to make the transitin smoot...

macintosh render size limits???

do macintosh computers have a lower render size limit enforced? if i try to render a A3 300DPI image on our dual 1.8 Ghz G5's with 2 Gb ram. or our dual 1.25Ghz Dual G4's with 2 Gb ram at university. (running OSX 10.2 i believe) then the computers crash. whereas if i make a render of 50% that size (...

edge as object setting

hey guys, just wondering how hard it would be to make the edge settings a "per object/material basis" so that i can have toon shading on one thing in a scene with an edge, while everything else is rendered realisticly would be very cool to also have the full scene edge settings as well (for ease) bu...
