Re: "Mount" a Blender camera as system device

Blender has a built-in frame server you may be able to hook into. I have no idea if it works with the BGE.

Re: Python API for movie and audio HD sequences in VSE

So, without further ado, here is my patch: Well, with slightly further ado, here is a simple Python script which exercises the API changes: #!BPY from Blender import * def main(): scn = Scene.GetCurrent() seq = scn.sequence if not seq: print 'This scene has no sequence data yet' return # MOVIE stri...

Python API for movie and audio HD sequences in VSE

Hi all, I've been digging into the Blender VSE code and I've managed to update the Python API for VSE to allow SEQ_MOVIE and SEQ_HD_SOUND sequences to be added. I've attached a patch file (against the stable 2.47 branch), and I'd love to get some feedback. I know my method of handling the parameters...

Sequencer Python API - can't do movie strips

I was working on a Python script today and attempting to add a MOVIE strip to the sequence. Here is my (simplified) script: from Blender import * def main(): scn = Scene.GetCurrent() seq = scn.sequence # COLOR strip -- works! start = 50 track = 2 seq_data = ( 0.5, 0.0, 0.0 ) strip = seq.new( seq_dat...

Thanks, Nathan! Looks like that did it!

Nearly compiled 2.47 with Microsoft VC++ 2008

Hey all, I know this is a n00b question, but it's been a while since I worked much in C/C++. I got the 2.47 branch source code and got all the dependencies compiled successfully. When I do the final link, though, I get this error: ------ Build started: Project: blender, Configuration: Blender Releas...

Thanks! Unless/until the official Blender build supports AviSynth, maintaining a distribution for that purpose would be nice. I'll give it a shot.

What be great is specifying a template aviscript to use, and then use some kind of key like $VIDEO and $AUDIO, where the python script will find and then replace with the known information gathered. Then just feed that into Blender. That's essentially what it does, except it uses an XSL transform ....

That looks cool, thanks! I have been thinking about implementing a simple media management system for the Blender VSE, and this script might give me some ideas.

This is a super addition to Blender. Thanks! I'm very excited about it. Do you think it will be possible to add Avisynth scripts as plugins/transitions for Blender... Long-term, it would be cool for Blender to add support for Libavfilter , an FFMPEG library in development which is intended to provi...

Well, nobody has indicated the slightest interest, but I am determined to blithely ignore such discouraging facts! BlenderAVC is my new free/open-source project which provides an efficient means of editing AVCHD footage in Blender. It uses the new build by TheNut (thanks!), AviSynth scripts and FFMP...

To spamagnet and anyone else interested, I've uploaded my build ... Thank you!! I have tried compiling this thing several times, and I just can't get it right.
