What you're asking for is not actually the boolean union, because they are not truly solid objects. This has been requested before under deleting internal geometry. Export for Shockwave 3D (.w3d)

There are converters available for many of the formats Blender exports to, but it would be nice if there was a script that exports directly to W3D.

I don't know how to do it on a Windows, but I install them on a Mac by going into the Blender application's contents and finding the scripts folder.
