Actually, that hardly fixed anything. 2.5.9 is still a massive pain to use. I can't even scroll through lists properly, and all the MT gestures are still being activated in the 3d view. I've been trying to get used to it but I simply cannot — I always have to go back to 2.49 in order to get any work...

Problem Solved
Nevermind, I found it. I've just noticed that, as of 2.5, "emulate three-button mouse" is disabled by default, instead of enabled, as it was in the versions ≤2.49.

Disabling the multitouch integration in v2.5.3
I've just started playing around with the new beta on my MacBook Pro, and found camera manipulation to be a bit more difficult than it was previously. None of the modifier keys functional in 2.49 work now, only the multitouch methods. Is there, or will there be a way, to recover the pre-2.5 camera m...

Nevermind, I got it!
I'm not totally sure what I did right, but it was something. This code, when attached to a controller, which is, in turn, attached to a motion actuator and mouse movement sensor, allows me to apply a variable torque to an object. :D from GameLogic import * from Rasterizer import * from math import *...

Python + Actuator Physics + mouse control
If you know of any good, modern, tutorials about using python in blender's game engine, please direct me to those. So far, I've only found ones that are either outdated (refer to deprecated API commands) or incomplete. Anyway, what I'm trying to do, is to get the cursor's location over the active wi...

Well, it wouldn't be too hard, since the iPad is running a watered-down version of OSX with an über-simple GUI. That cuts porting time in half... But you still have the issue of interface and power. You'd need a wrapper to translate multitouch into mouse input that blender understands. Also, blender...

@DanielWray ...The perfect GUI requires Zero keyboard use... You have got to be kidding me. I love blender's interface. Absolutely love it. I wouldn't have changed it from the way it was in 2.4, actually, but 2.5 is looking okay. Progress FTW. The extensive keyboard use in blender is one of...

one-way collision surface?
Can one make a surface have collisions with actors in one direction but not in the other? I guess like the floors in an old side-scroller game...
I'm not seeing anything in the actor panel... does this need to be done in python?

Solved!
Unfortunately, Apple did not have the decency to provide the upgraded driver through free updates, but buying Snow Leopard (not so bad at just $30) fixes the issue. Blender is now funning fast and flawlessly. I do have to admit though, I might miss, just a little, the ubuntu partition I made to run ...

Still experiencing bug
I've updated to the newest version of leopard (10.5.7) and of blender(2.49), and tried 2.45 as well. Has Apple discontinued the GMAX3100? If so, maybe I can convince a genius that my motherboard is busted and have them replace it with a functional one while it's still under warrantee...

Based on their suitable applications, I suggest these be renamed to integrated email and web-browsing cards. :D not quite that bad... I can manage hour long video and audio recordings while surfing the web and using Google Earth. They just need to stop messing with the drivers. So what if I couldn'...

Same problem here
I have the same problem. At first I thought it was related to my update to 2.47 (I did both at the same time), but I found that going back to 2.45 exacerbated the problem, resulting in a full system crash rather than just a blender crash. (Bringing my total number of crashes since upgrading to leopa...
