I have it in perp mode and it is not in a set view You need to be in Top/Front/Side Ortho (not perspective) or Camera view, depending on your Axis settings. If you need a User Ortho or Perspective view, a Plane with an image texture is your friend. I'm having the same problem, but my image still wo...

:? It looks so much like "/" key. Are you pressing it in the NumPad with the mouse over the 3D view? I think the layers appear in the other 3D view because when you press "/" key it only affects the 3D view you pressed it in. Try in 3D view: "View" menu -> "Global View" option Also may be good to c...

I was able to get the layers by opening the 3d View window on the top as well, the "/" key didn't se...

Just render it? F12 is the shortcut for a single image. For an animation go to the Render section in the buttons menu (F10), select an appropriate format from the list (like AVI or QuickTime), and then press ANIM to render the full sequence. You can export it as a sequence of image files too. umm, ...

For some reason, the buttons for the visible layers are not there in the 3D view. I'm talking about the 20 or so gray buttons for selecting the layers, they're not there for some reason, though they normally are. It showed up once I started Blender again, but then wasn't there when I loaded the proj...

You have a lot of intelligent questions. Walkcycles are pretty hard cause they combine all the types of animation and they're hard to just explain. You need to get a tutorial, I have one but I'm not completly sure where I got it from. Copying keyframes can be done in the action editor and NLA windo...

You can either pull down the top menu and go to System and OpenGL and select Emulate NumPad, or if you have a Fn key on your laptop, you can use it to press the letter keys on your keyboard. The regular number keys do not delete your object, they switch to a different layer. For more about layers, ...
