Use the 3D Cursor for that. It's a little clunky, but go into texture paint mode and ctrl+click on the face location so it sticks the 3D cursor to the face's surface.

It used to work fine on Win2K, perhaps it's something python related? Or it could be that the MSVC libraries need updating.

It is not possible to change the language at all in the current version. Support for internationalization is in development right now, as part of GSoC 2011 (Garlic Branch).

I subdivided a cube to 393,216 faces and it's at around 5fps. Subdividing once more (1,572,864 faces) gives me around 2fps, this is with VBOs on.

Videocard is Radeon HD5670.

Just select the seam on one side, then use "Select Mirror" to select the other side and mark the seam. You can find "Select Mirror" in the spacebar search menu.

It sounds like an OpenGL/driver issue if 3dsmax is slowing down too. Have you turned on VBOs in the user preferences? They are normally off by default.

I'm not exactly sure what you want to do, but you probably have to enable Proportional Editing (O-key).

It's a Python-related error, check what it says in the console. In order for the console to appear, you have to run blender through CMD.

Re: FK/IK Armature Error heh (going off a tutorial)

One of the things that bugs me (Which isn't why I'm posting this though) is at 4:03 in the video he changes it all to blue with SHIFT+A.. It doesn't work for me in 2.57, iono. He says to press Shift+K , not Shift+A Anyways the reason im posting this is I dont know how to select separate bones, like...

"Textured Solid" doesn't show the material texture, but rather the image you assign to it in the UV/Image editor. Also if the texture doesn't render, it probably means there are no UV coords or its using a different mapping method like "Generated".

The option you turned on is called "Proportional Editing" and you toggle it with O , its icon is a blue circle in the 3DView header. This option is used when you want transformations to have an area of influence, which is represented by the circle you see in the viewport. You can increase/decrease t...
