I don't see the falling through problem very often, but it still happens once out of every 25 or so test runs. Good; it's now a reproduced bug. I seem to get a bit more than that. It may be CPU speed dependent. It makes driving games like 55wheels unplayable. You fall through the track every minute...

I was finally able to register for the bug tracker. So far I've had to register separately for blender.org, elysium.org, gameblender.org, and the bug tracker. (I'm not sure where blender3d.org fits into this.) Every time I report a problem, someone on some forum says it should be reported on some ot...

Please submit bugs to the bug tracker. It will be helpful to tell the developers. Make sure you make this one in the game engine catigory and high priority. http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=add&group_id=9&atid=125 Yeah, right. "ERROR Artifact: This ArtifactType Does Not Allow Anonymous Sub...

Physics engine problems in 2.35a

Try running "55wheels.blend" from the GameKit in Blender 2.35a. Movement is much more sluggish. And the car still falls through the ground now and then, just like 2.34. Our simple test case, http://www.overbot.com/public/vendors/blender/index.html runs far slower than it did in 2.34. Try it in both....

We don't have the resources to fix Blender; we have too much else to do between now and the Grand Challenge in October 2005. Blender almost works for us. If we can just get this "intermittent falling through the ground" problem fixed, we'll be in good shape. If the engine can be made reliable enough...

We've now added screenshots of the physics engine failing to the defect description page at http://www.overbot.com/public/vendors/blender/, along with a link to the .blend file so that others can reproduce the bug.

BUG: intermittent reproduceable failure in physics engine

Multiple collisions intermittently fail, resulting in objects falling through the "floor". Here's a very simple test case: http://www.overbot.com/public/vendors/blender . The test case drops a cube into a 3-sided "funnel". Most of the time, it works right. Sometimes it fails, and the cube falls thro...

If we can figure out how to get "numarray" loaded, we'll have most of that. But "numarray" is about 50 files with an installer, and it's not obvious how to get it into Blender's Python without messing something up. The installer won't run because it's looking for a full installation of Python.

Blender GE was never intended for the High lvl Many GameLogic functions use matrices. getOrientation and setOrientation use 3x3 rotation matrices, and there are camera functions such as getCameraToWorld which use full 4x4 transformation matrices. So clearly the API requires the availability of basi...

just install it into python and import This is for Win2K, unfortunately. Numarray has an installer that won't recognize GameBlender's Python. So does Numeric. Is there some simple way to do this, or do I have to figure out how the Numarray installer works, how GameBlender's Python installation work...

Status of numeric libraries?

The game engine's Python seems to include neither Numeric nor Numarray. What's the approved tool set for doing matrix arithmetic? There must be something in there. Thanks.

If we could parent dynamic objects to one another, that would solve a LOT more than just the center of rotation issue. What happens when you parent dynamic objects to each other? If they're rigidly connected, are the resulting group center of mass and inertia tensor computed properly? From testing,...

While we're on the subject of the ray sensor, what are the known bugs there? Is is still restricted to the +Y direction? Does "getHitPosition()" return correct values? (I'm getting the location of the sensor itself from getHitPosition()") Does the range limit work? Thanks.

You're mixing up materials window with gameblender. It only uses uvmapping. RonC Actually, you can have an untextured material show colored in the Blender game engine if you turn on vertex coloring. Unclear whether this is a bug or a feature. The documentation is vague on what is implemented in thi...
