i tried doing that but there was a small problem..... DNA Files it was a pain to try to remove everything that was not with the game engine.....After 2 days of tring I still could not get it working. No just removing all the drawing buttons and rebuilding your won would be easier but you would have...

I think the approach I would take would be: 1) Reintegrate a basic game engine back into blender (probably the one based on SOLID). This will be 'the' blender game engine and will basically put us back in the same situation as in 2.25. It also avoids dependancies on external game engines. I think th...

i think that would be a lot of work, all we realy want is our old engine back Yes, I agree. However there is no reason why we can't have both the old engine and provide the ability to export for other engines, provided we find the development manpower. I assume that when the SOLID library comes alo...

I'm not sure it would be sensible to replace the existing engine with crystal space, these things require a surprising amount of work. I'm not convinced we'd end up with a particularly clean and elegant result, and crystal space is already several times the size of blender. I believe it's also consi...

Link against .so instead of .la when using ./configure
Hi, I have now managed to build blender using the NAN scripts (which means I'll start looking at the sourcecode soon!), but am still having no luck with the autoconf system. It falls over here: /bin/sh ./libtool --mode=link gcc -funsigned-char -o blender -L/usr/lib/python2.3/config -Xlinker -export-...

Problem compiling with Python 2.3?
Hi, I've having problems compiling blender 2.3, I believe it's due to having python 2.3 on my system instead of 2.2. The error I get is : Blender.c:200: error: `module' undeclared (first use in this function) Blender.c:201: error: `dict' undeclared (first use in this function) Blender.c:206: warning...

OK, each of those questions you asked would require a tutorial in itself. However, I suspect (from the questions you ask) that you don't actually have much experience using game blender. Have you made any games yet? If not it would be a bad idea to start with Zelda of Final Fantasy, thier simply too...
