What Jomo said is correct. Buy a good 3+ button mouse. There is no other solution other than using a third party program to map additional mouse buttons to your keyboards.
I recommend Razor Deathadder.

Blender uses edgesplit to fake normals. It does not support edge normals and never will because the community is content with blender being incompatible with other programs way of doing things. I highly disagree with this general consensus and feel that a lack of the more widely used normal support ...

[Question] Bevel weights and 2.5
After searching around the web for about an hour I have noticed a severe lack of up to date documentation on Blender 2.5x bevel modifier being used with weights. On the official page,( http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.5/Manual/Modifiers/Mesh/Bevel ) it is claimed that bevel weights are not wo...

Set smooth / Set solid on EDGES not on FACES. That way autosmooth can actually be applied and EXPORTED without having to use the edgesplit modifier, which is bad because not all game engines / programs support Dupped vertices. The current method of doing things ( edgesplit modifier with mark/clear s...

Very bad performance in Windows Vista.
So I decided to try Blender in Windows Vista 32 bit and all I can say is WHAT THE EFF. Low polygon modeling is fine, but damn it seems the moment you go above 60,000 faces it just slows down to unworkable. And this is a machine with 2.6ghz Dual core, 9600GT, 4GB of Ram so it shouldn't be THAT bad. I...

Here is a simple suggestion that will save a lot of gray hairs for those of us who like to create assets for Game engines and whatnot: http://www.blender.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5156&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Use Wings 3D's method of smoothing, where smooth/hard is applied to EDGES where in...

Any way at all to set smooth/solid on edges?
I've been struggling for a while now, I really like blender's interface but there is one thing that stops me from using it: I can't find any way to set smooth and solid on edges. I use 3D CAD software for developing low ( IE 100~10000 ) polygon models for use in gaming engines. I have about 2 years ...
