How to bake normal maps?

I was hoping that somebody here can tell me how to bake a normal, displacement, ambient occlusion and specular map from a texture already wrapped around the model. Also how to sculpt from the same texture.

Some UV map questions.

I'm practicing by building a fairly simple modular sidewalk which consists of a 12 feet square block with a sidewalk texture applied. I need a fast way to scale the UV map to the same high of the texture map which is 1024 pixels. I need to scale in the X and Y axis. I hope somebody can help me.

That was the error message. That the decimate modifier can't be applied to non-manifold meshes. How can I manage to turn it into a non-manifold mesh?

How can I set the snap tool so it scale or move the vertices one unit at a time when I move the mouse or use the arrows? Also I need a way to get straight UV maps.

How can I manage to scale a cube in one inch intervals?

As the title says I want to scale a cube accurately to build some roads and buildings for a test level I'm building. One inch intervals is the measure I need. Can somebody tell me how to achieve this?
