In case anyone else has the same problem, the solution was to Collect Meshes -> Go -> Replace Meshes.

If you don't Replace Meshes then it won't render correctly.

Why are there so many radiosity buttons? There's one in Render Layers, one in Render, one in Links and Pipeline and those are just the ones I know of. Bit confusing to the newb. Moving to a position but not relative

Is there a shorthand way of moving a vertex (or vertices) to an absolute location in space without using the transform properties?

I'm looking for something like G, Y, 5 where the five moves the vertex to 5 units from the 0,0,0 on the Y axis.

Looks like it was a symptom of having duplicate vertices, so when I deleted the hidden vertex would appear.

Erasing Vertices

Anyone else notice that hitting Delete to erase vertices doesn't always work?

Maybe something to look into in 2.5?

I figured out that if you aren't yet dealing with faces then you can subdivide edges without Blender connecting other vertices.
