Boolean carving usualy leaves you with some cleaning work to do. this is because blender has to subdivide certain edges to create the intended shapes on the whole. This will probably create a lot of triangles for you to clean, and a lot of vertices to merge, and stuff like that. It's not a bad thing...

I've done this in the past when I built a watch tower in hammer and then wanted to turn it into a model for performance reasons. I've done this by simple hamer export. Blender 2.49b can import DXF files (2.5x DXF support is still in development, but might work for this). To be honest, the only advan...

Keymapping "search by key" option

I was thinking about suggesting this, since I can see that keymap search is still not improved in 2.59. Probably I should have suggested it long ago when development for 2.5 started... But better now than never. When creating new key configurations, I believe it would be able to have some more searc...

well, I can't answer your questions directly, since I never messed with these tools, but I know it's possible. This video shows one of the ways to do it (tho I don't know if this is exactly what you're asking for) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhLuA5kpn2Y Try Blender Artists Forums , you should get...

Are the old f4 - f12 hotkeys possible to assign to panels?

I was wandering if it would be possible. I started looking on how to do it, and the keys are assignable, but when I hover the mouse over each of the panels in the Properties window I noticed there's no python references to any. Only their names (Render, Scene, Object, Object Data, Materials, etc). S...

Keymap search improvement

I think it would be very useful to be able to search keys in the preferences by key names too. I often spend a few minutes customizing keys to resemble the 2.49 layout, at least the ones I prefered that way, but it's a bit hard to be sure that there's no conflicting assignments in the keys I change....

You can also try this:

But I dunno if it works in 2.4x if you're using it.

Can't import keymap

I had this keymap exported from an old beta0 build and now I tried with both 2.52 and the latest build from GraphicAll and it never changes my keys...

Is 2.52 still not able to import keymaps or am I missing something?

I never messed much with splines, but if I'm not wrong about them, I think you can do pretty much the same with bezier curves or paths.

Yes, indeed.

Valve's sdk is called Source (or at least thats what ppl call the Ep1 engine), and so it's called Source SDK. Not just SDK, which was my mistake.

My bad. :D
