Hi Stiv! Thank you for your quick feedback! :) I must admit I sounded a bit paranoid with all that "versus" thing, sorry Just wondering... Trying to start a talk about the business model Blender Foundation set up with the open projects (CC 3.0 + GPL) and BSD/MIT like licenses... We can verify that t...

Any Google Chrome / Chromium OS discussion?

http://www.chromium.org/chromium-os Is there any discussion going on here, could you provide me some links on the subject? Blender + Google Chrome OS? I know that this system is based on people that spend most of their time on the internet. But It would be nice to hear your opinions about this new e...

No Stiv, unfortunately is not that. I was using the Safari Browser to read and study code, no usernames, no logins nothing. Then, it suddenly stopped to work: now it asks me a username and password. So, I switched to Firefox and I can access the links directly... Weird! :) Thank you very much for yo...

Can't acess SVN anonymously

Hi guys! It's impossible to read the SVN. I was able to read this document before: https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/verse/trunk/vml/saver.c And now I can't! The page ask me a user name and password. Why? No info about this here: http://www.blender.org/development/coding-guides/svn-checkout-and-usage/...

Steemberg's algorithm for poly reduction as modifier?

Hi guys! I guess must of you know about Eskil Steemberg and his works ( http://www.quelsolaar.com/ ). The thing is: this guy wrote a interesting algorithm for polygonal reduction a long time ago (2001). http://www.quelsolaar.com/technology/CRoCCLSS.pdf It remains useful for game prototyping I guess....

:D Ok i gota it! The meshes need to have a material applied to it and materials shaders (diffuse) needs to be "standard". If you have this and a white uv texture for example the scene will look like Frank Miller's "Sin city"

Blender to Crystal: Rainbow colors. Why?

Hi guys! I started a very basic scene layout after setting up Blender to Crystal inside Windows XP. It has one camera, one lamp, one plane (the ground) and one cube. The cube and the plane has a white UV texture applied to it. "Sector settings" set to shadowed and "World shadows" set to shadowed. Ev...

question about maximum texture size.

Two questions: 1) Is the maximum texture size alowed (BGE) 1024X1024 pixels? (Considering that you are going to texture single quad plane). 2) I have one texture 2048X2048 aplied to a plane (a quad one). Then, i subdivided this plane onto four other planes (same size) and separated it. Now i have fo...

"I think it's a good start, but... It's needs much more dynamics to give a playeble feel. I mean, when I release a button the droid is at a hold, that's not very nice to play. And I think the speed difference between flying and walking is to big. The graphics detailing could be better. I mean that t...
