The Y-axis is always along the bone, the roll factor "rotates" this axis. It doesn't affect children in Blender, but might have an effect on exports. Bone's roll

Hi All, I've been trying to figure out the job of the bone's roll. For example I add new Bone (single) and use ctrl+N to recalculate the bone roll but it seems that whatever I choose (roll x axis or roll y axis or roll z axis ) the y axis is always along the bone , so what is this roll angle anyway?...

The background image will only show when you're in ortho: front, side, top view or camera view. As soon as you rotate the view or if you enter perspective view (numpad 5), the background image disappears. I have mesh and I created 2 vertex group on my own thought

Now I add new armature with 2 bones and I want to assign each bone to the pre-defiend vertex group

I don't know how...I can't find the answer...

sorry for my English

I use lofy modeling with a bezier curve as a path and bezier circle as cross section. when I extrude it with the BevOb I did get me object but it is open in both sides even when front and back buttons are pressed!!
