That also happens here, with lamps of type Lamp and Spot. It doesn't happen with area light, hemi and sun light. And then only with flat surfaces, when turning on SubDSurfaces for the cube, the banding disappears. So the only useful thing I can say is not to use lamps and spots when you render flat ...
Hi, I just added support for closed Bezier curves, wasn't too difficult after all :) I wanted to add open curves but there is no method in the API (yet) that can determine if a curve is open or closed... Script is here There are still bugs, so please check the new mesh after cutting it... Oh yes, an...
Thanks for the feedback everyone, :) And my lifesaver is the cookie cutter so if that can be added as well that would be great. But yes the cookie cutter should accept closed object (circles, planes, etc.) but also allow for open objects (like a curve). Don't know how difficult it is to use curves a...
Would a python script be good enough until someone hardcodes it in the sources? It projects a closed mesh edgeloop onto a mesh in the global X, Y or Z direction. It does not take into account the verts of the edgeloop. Warning: it is not finished and it has some bugs, so use it at your own risk. bef...
my arguments is 1) to use u need to enter first in face mode. 2) i can't figure out how to do many repetive extrude oprations. because it duplicate mesh. 3) in my job local extrude in X,Y,Z works for many cases. Thanks for the feedback! :) 1) is the same as in wings, 2) Like extruding a face severa...

if this is (extrude alone normal) implemented well then i the happiest blenderer. deasman: Shrink/fatten moves verts along their normals. But an Extrude Along Normal command would still be very good to have. Try Wings, and you can hardly live without it. look here: http://www.blender.org/modules.ph...
Does that happen with a render in a separate window (dispwin) or with dispview turned on? Couldn't reproduce it on my compu, since blender crashes when I use dispwin (ati graphics card). With dispview, everyting works fine. btw, i reported a (possible) bug overhere , related to the new script window...
