For example, if i go freelance and i make a 3d web page following the basics of the blender tutorials and sell it do i owe anyone or have to pay fees for any related porgram used along the blender publisher? Merlin, i know your pain for i too am a proffessional cad user my self. Snapping options, would siute many CAD operators converting things to 3d as long as they have all working 2d cad drawings imported in blender. I agree with wavk that cad work is definatly not best done with blender at the moment...

Maybe not just skinable in the way i understand skins, but rather a configurable interface with presets that groups your buttons / functions and even re-map keys so they mimic that of leading comercial 3d software. That would be a great way to introduce more professionals to blender at the same time...

I dont know how hard it could be done, or even if it is implemented already but if it could be, then a customizable interface where the ui can be changed, maybe with presets for max or maya look will be good for a lot of beginers or package migrators. Maybe even presets of shortcuts to make them sim...
