From the WIKI... http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:2.6/Source/Render/Cycles/OpenCL OpenCL support for AMD/NVidia GPU rendering is currently on hold. You will need to either build your own copy of Blender from source, with the limited OpenCL functionality enabled, or download an experimental cust...

Ok, when you say "I've got a mouse especially for this.." are you talking about a 3dmouse of some kind? A little detail goes a long way, otherwise we end up playing 20 questions with hours of delay between turns....

Smells of graphics driver issue. A symptom of your video card/graphics driver not doing OpenGL well. First thing is to make sure your graphics driver is up to date, preferably from the manufacturer's site. 2nd is to switch to User Prefs via the dropdown menu at the lower left of the 3D View ( NOT th...

In the release note it says: The previous default (free fly mode) is now behind modifier keys SHIFT+CTRL. Users can swap this default in our keymaps. Could you please tell me how to set the settings to free fly mode? which keymaps exactly? I tried different combinations with: view3d.ndof_orbit_zoom...

Without knowing what the crash message is, it would be very hard to diagnose. Rendering directly to video, especially large animations risks everything if something crashes. Suggest rendering as individual frames, then combine later as video. If it crashes again at 4000-ish, you can simply resume th...

(2.50alpha was released Nov.2009)

It would need to be rewritten to account for changes made since then.
