Translating coordinates from scene to camera view?

Hey guys. Quick question. Is there an easy way of getting a 2 dimensional representation of the scenes coordinates from the camera's viewport?(assuming perspective). So basically, say you're looking at your camera view in blender, you know that you have a few meshes in your scene. What I want to kno...

Hey there Metal3d. Yes, there actually has been some work already regarding blender and swf exporting. I'm working on a project dealing with this very issue myself. As well as others have been working on the swf front. I think someone has used ming, but i'm not sure on that. I've been researching th...

Oyster: I think right now, the main steps would be to get an external python module working first, that can be used to write to flash, once we have that working, its a possiblility we can use that external module to work with blender directly. But again, its all futureplanning on how it will integra...

Hey Money_Yay! Thanks for your response. Ya I'm not sure if the scope has been agreed on yet. Basically, it'll be a wise idea to move at this in a Software engineering sense. (eg, plan ahead of time, get some ideas nailed down). I'm not sure if this post should move elsewhere now that more interest ...

Yes I was actually on that thread. Now I DO know python...so I'm excited. Volcaino and sumedho,(if you're readin this) may I get some info on your work, seeing how you guys were involved on the flash export. I think we can all work together here, from what I saw of both of yours, the techniques you ...

sumedho: Thank you for your reply. I see what you are saying here. I've gathered that a few basic 3d techniques would be required, and some more Vector-only techniques will also have to be applied. I'm looking at creating an sdk entirely in c++, then once thats implemented, I'm not sure what path I...

New indi project - SWF rendering

Hey all. Just wanted to let some people know, that I'm gonna try to take on the task of getting that swf rendering to work, properly. Been going through the Macromedia specs, and openswf, etc...this is what I've found. Macromedia no longer issues an SDK, so the library would be programmed froms scra...

Reply back from ATI

Well folks. Got a reply back from ATI. Well, it wasn't what I wanted, since I was specific about my problem. They gave me the WinXP Faq. As far as I can tell, some solutions can be fixed with either of these solutions, but they dont' work for everyone, making the troubleshooting issue very problemat...

3rd possible fix

I've been messing around with my machine lately, trying to get this dual head ati card to work. It seems that I've come across even more problems with ATI's 3.8 version of the catalyst drivers. Seems the ATI Radeon VE/7000 might no work well with this driver. basic problem is having slow(and I mean ...

Ton: What sort of bandwidth and requirements did those sites you were talking about require? I do have an actual webserver, that can handle a fair bit of bandwidth, but eventually its going to cost a lot of money to host it, if it gets too much traffic. The web server I'm running is a dedicated serv...

It seems I have a knack for screwing up and posting to the wrong places.

It'd be cool if both dev and general chat were on the same site. Oh well...my bad...I used to come here in the past, never knew elysiun was the new blender hangout.

Thanks for the info.

I used your method, fliping the verts, then joining, then when I join, everything is back to good.

Seems to work so far.

Thanks for the quick responses.
