I dont really know what the verse-blender collaboration will bring (but i know it will be great) But i do know some things for sure: - Blender will remain open source. - Blender will be controlled by the community and the foundation. - it will be a stand alone app (if not more then one app!) What i...

Question about Verse and Blender...

With the news on the front page what exactly does this mean? Will Blender continue to be a stand alone app? And can somebody explain what exactly verse is? I think I have an idea but if someone could just give a simple synopsis of what verse is? Kinda like an Idiots guide to verse and what the Euro ...

Well, even if you use CS you can still integrate CS in Blender through a plugin. CS is very modular and it should be possible (with some work) to make an extension to Blender that integrates Blender with CS. So no need to go to a seperate executable. Well if they can integrate CS like they did with...

Thanks for the replys Hush and Saluk. Whatever the future of Game Blender I really hope they keep it under the blender umbrella. In other words to keep it all as one program. The CS rendering is intriguiging(sp?) but it would be a shame to have to model and program everything in Blender then export ...

Well I have read this thread and I still don't know what is the future of the Game Engine in Blender. I know that the developer was having trouble integrating Solid into blender, was this resolved? Has anything definite been decided? Im not upset or anything, just curious as to whats happening and w...

Re: Solid is in the latest Blender??

Really? The latest news I've found on this site is that the Solid book is yet to be made available. Any integration of it will possibly be as a plug-in but nobody has picked up the project. Tuhopuu Blender still has the same game engine from 2.04. Well here is some news from todays front page artic...

If you look at the docs that came out at the time of the blender confrence and foundation releases it doesn't look like it was planned to die then, and I doubt it is planned to die. I sure hope your right and it is planned to be supported in the future. Even though I understand it may be very diffi...

YafRAY looks very very promising Yes, it does!, but yafray also seems to have stopped its development while blender opened up. I'm sure that as soon as blender starts developing a more extensive way to link a renderer, they'll start coding that stuff on their end as well. Didn't Yafray release vers...
