no 2nd GPU on latest daily build with tile render

Hi, I was thrilled to see the tile render merged into trunk, great work ! However, my go-to test scene rendered twice as slow now. I re-rendered with only 1 GPU in the settings, same rendertime. Interestingly, psensors showed that when rendering using 2 gpus, the second one was warming up (55 celciu...

2.5 is beautiful !

Hi All, I need to get this out there: "Blender 2.5 is a beautiful piece of work !" There. I've been using 2.56 with yafaray and octane for the past couple of days now and it has been a joy to use. Ireally appreciate the work that has gone into the UI refactoring and the fact that the program stays r...

how to calculate quat rotation to align object w 2 vectors?

Hi all, I was never bad at math, but quaternion rotation got me reeling ... Imagine this scenario: Vector -a-, vector -b- is perpendicular to -a- and an Empty. I want to align the Z-axis of the Empty with vector -a- and the X-axis with vector -b-. How do I calculate the quaternion rotation to apply ...

network render is cool, but I hit a snag

Hi, the network render feature that is in svn now is really cool, comprehensive setup, usage is clear, but.. When I render, the client never recieves the file. Upon inspection I find more errors on the master side, f.i. it wants to find a log file that is not there. It feels to me this feature is no...
