If you don't see a render window pop up when you click render, then chances are Mosaic can't find Aqsis on the PATH. Make sure your path is updated to include the location of the Aqsis binary, and then re-run Blender.

Siggraph Appreciation

While I unfortunately wasn't able to make Siggraph, another member of the Aqsis team stepped up to the plate (Bobby 'Sh0rtWave' Parker) and provided a valuable presense for Aqsis and the ongoing RenderMan/Blender project. This was only possible thanks to the generosity of the Blender Foundation and ...

to pgregory: No cars! No Glasses! You ca saw some of my scenes on YafRay and Blender gallery or on my web page www.3DXATA.com.ua Yeah, I saw them, all lighting setting related work, i.e. "how does my office look with this lighting?" etc. Have you ever produced an animation with Yafray or any other ...

Re: Open Letter

We need photo realism to make real competition to commercial soft! Blender raytracer and Radiosity are out of date. It’s a fact! The most popular light model today is GI. This is the way proposed by Henrik Wann Jensen – “global illumination using Photon maps”. This is what we need! I disagree stron...

Some SCons/Win32 problems...

I have been trying to build with SCons under Win32, using my installed Visual Studio .NET 2003. I prefer to stick with one, maintained build system, which is why I went with SCons rather than the VS.NET project files, which appear to always lag behind by some way. First thing I noticed, no matter wh...

Some months ago I saw some sort of support for aqsis in tuhopuu 2... Where is it now? The work in the Tuhopuu2 branch stopped when it became clear that the Tuhopuu2 branch was going to be killed off. Since the Tuhopuu3 branch has restarted, none of the people involved have had the time to resurrect...

Pgregory, just a few sentences: ... I've done a search on blender.org for some of those (admittedly, not all, after failing to find 3 I stopped) and not found them, so presumably you are pulling in quotes from other sites, perhaps some links so that we can all read the comments in context. Context ...

It wasn't necessarily Aqsis users, but he percieved them as such, because that was the one renderer mentioned all the time. An honest mistake. My point was more that I've not seen anybody, Aqsis user or otherwise, claim to be upset with Muse. I've seen a lot of people asking questions about the rea...

Well, pgregory, I use the name of Aqsis because is Aqsis the name of the renderer that everyone talking in this subject use. The people who compare Muse with another renderer, they compare with Aqsis. Never mention any other renderer. Sorry, I don't follow the point of your post, could you elaborat...

I haven't seen any Aqsis users claim to be upset with Muse. Well, I have seen. If you haven't seen, sorry. You should pay more attention. Could you point me at the messages that explicitly showed Aqsis users suggesting they were upset with Muse? I obviously wasn't paying attention and would be inte...

Concerning Aqsis... I can't understand why Aqsis users are so upset with Muse... There's not one guy at Aqsis and another one at Muse doing the same. Muse will be substantially different than Aqsis. I intend to provide the bridge with Blender. Aqsis team intentions are not my concern. I haven't see...

... there's enough to do in blender internally. And that seems like a whaste of coding. What to you seems like important things to do, to others seem unncessary. You must remember that this is a community project, intended to satisfy a wide audience with a wide ranging set of requirements. You say....

I have placed a very much W.I.P. Win32 installer that installs both Aqsis and Blender[Tuhopuu2] with Renderman integration on the Aqsis site at http://aqsis.sf.net/files/aqsis-blender-setup.exe . There are three very important points to bear in mind before considering downloading this. I haven't tes...

I'm not talking about Lancelet's build (which I haven't yet found), but about LG's build. I assure you it is for Windows and LG says that Aqsis needs to be in the path. As it is not included in the build, I'm assuming an external Aqsis installation... You are quite correct, my mistake, LG's build i...

In the Blender Foum on the Aqsis site, there is a test build of Blender Tuhopuu with Renderman integration (defaults to Aqsis, but Pixie et al are also there.) :D Of course , you need an Aqsis installation too... Not strictly true, you only need an Aqsis installation to build it, if you have a bina...
