i agree here as well.

blenders aa isnt the best. and it also produces swimming artifacts in some cases.

and i strongly have to agree that blender is not able to renderout fine details. since i try to replicate brushed metals in blender i noticed that issue there.

very amazing looking movie.

how far will it be possible to letthe mesh look like natural water
while still being able to work with the application?

in the move the fluid looks very blotchy and you see the
underlying 3d mesh.

how do you render in passes? i did not figure that out.

i am not sure if ton can imrpove the v blur. as far as i know it just has its downfall.

also i followed the node setup for the vblur but blender doesnt render it for me. the only thing it does is not to crash ;)

Mats78 you post reads like you do not realy understand what max and maya stand for today. true the plug ins are what makes max and maya good. mayas internal render engines is well pretty weak but you also have mental ray with it and today a complet plug in for renderman including creating the shader...
