Hi, Using search "Rendering times linux windows" gave few hits, but one thread at least is worth of reading http://www.blender.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6919 I would say that comparing windows and linux rendering times is extremely tough. There are huge amount of linux distributions, and different d...

Blender Netscape Plugin Developed ?

Hi, Is there somebody actively developing the npBlenderPlayer.so ? After checking the current CVS GE I got enthusiasm kick, because it looks so great, and would like to make some 3D content to web. Tried to check the netscape plugin to linux side, compiled it and seems that it can be compiled nicely...

Hi,

Please like asked earlier, keep the frame there as well. No idea how that would be most UI kindly version, but something like [00]:[00].[00] - (frame), where all of those would be buttons or so.

Hello, This is the same code as in tuhopuu3, I just ported the code to be working with bf-blender as well. About making all all blender inside variables to support unicode would mean huge amount of work and I am sorry I do not have time and propably not skills either to make that :( I and phaseIV wi...

Unicode characters in bf-blender

Hello, PhaseIV and I made a small patch which allows the unicode characters to be used with bf-blender current cvs version. If somebody wants to check it, it can be found from http://wiki.blender.org/bin/view.pl/Blenderdev/UnicodeFont3D If it is full of bugs, please kick me and I can try tweaking it...

Hi, Need to ask a bit about this. If I check the http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U3200.pdf from unicode.org, the 0x3200 character seems to be same name and seems to be same kind of glyph (I am not familiar with chinese/japanese/thai characters yet :). Is the "PARENTHESIZED HANGUL KIYEOK" 0x3200, s...

Hello again, Seems that windows character map skips character codes which do not have character glyph. e.g. In Word97 character tab there is character 0x3229 aka. "Parenthisized Ideograph Ten" and then soon after it is "mm" character which is in fact 0x339c aka. "Square MM". There are big chunk of c...

Hello, I checked the simsun.ttf font I found from windows machine. I loaded the font to the ttf character map program in linux and this program informs that there aren't characters in those gaps in that font. Why this is so I do not know, either I do not know why Windows shows those characters in th...

Hi, This is fresh install with latest updates and latest kernel update. If using the MALLOC_CHECK_=1, I get the malloc: .... error and then Segmentation Fault. Sure I could check this with valgrind. If others are not suffering of these problems then there must be something wrong with my installation...

Blender 2.36 (or any version) and Fedora Core 3

Hello, Anybody tested Fedora Core 3 & Blender ? I am suffering huge problems with this FC3, it is saying from pretty all programs that it has errors (glibc changes, malloc: using debugging hooks). I am using MALLOC_CHECK_=0 to pass by the glibc crash "feature", but no go, blender still gives Segment...

Python to make ticking clock?

Hi,

Am I able to create running/ticking clock animation using python ? Couldn't find Text handling API (or there seems to be one but it affects to the TextEdit module).

Thanks a lot,

Uncompressed AVI

Hi,

Thank you very much !!!

Indeed ! I didn't notice that bloody ALPHA channel there. Do you think Blender will support RGB + Alpha someday or should I start bugging MainConcept to add channel handling to export functions ?

Thank you very much,

Uncompressed AVI example

Hi, First I hope this really is Uncompressed AVI, like I claim it to be. Anyways I have MainActor video editor which I used to create this. First a screenshot http://tols17.oulu.fi/~unicorn/packages/example.jpg And the AVI (not so small 3M) http://tols17.oulu.fi/~unicorn/packages/example.avi I hope ...
