Languages: it's horses for courses isn't it ? Having said that, Java & C++ are pompous, bureaucratic, ugly and inconsistent. Python is pragmatic language. It's a bit annoying sometimes but it's a good choice for Blender. It makes sense to do the core maths and performance-critical stuff in C and ope...

IPO curves

the following: import Blender o = Blender.Object.New("Empty", "IPOTest") Blender.Scene.getCurrent().link(o) ipo = Blender.Ipo.New("Object", "TestIPO") z = ipo.addCurve("LocZ") z.addBezier((1,0)) z.addBezier((64,64)) o.setIpo(ipo) z.recalc() used to work for creating an IPO curve in 2.37. In 2.4alpha...

Well I could say "yeh great! Love the new design!" etc also, but I think the old site was much clearer and made better use of the screen. One thing I never understand is why sites go for a portrait format when all screens these days are landscape if not widescreen. Why not use the screen widthwise (...

Re: Odd interface

Why not use tried and tested modern UI concepts... They are not modern concepts and they represent many mistakes the original creators freely admit such . The Mac-style GUI which originates from Xerox PARC demos (demos) of the 70s does not make every task automatically easier. You steer a car with ...
