Corrected packages

I've corrected packages for woody. They now depend on libc6 2.2.5-4
as it should be.

Get it at http://rozeta.com.pl/blender/debian/woody/

I hope

Re: APT-able debian packages

Hi, Based on the excelent work of phaethon I've created apt-able debian packages for woody and sid distributions. Just add: deb http://rozeta.com.pl/blender/debian/ woody/ or deb http://rozeta.com.pl/blender/debian/ sid/ to your /etc/apt/sources.list then: apt-get update ; apt-get install blender-c...

Re: APT-able debian packages

Have you checked out the mplayer CVS source? One thing that is very cool about it is that it has a debian directory so after you check out the sources you can "fakeroot debian/rules binary" and it will configure and build a debian package for you directly from the fresh CVS sources. I would very mu...

Congrat!

Well done! I'm almost ashamed of my mekefile I've posted. I think that this is the way to go for the final build system. Any chances of getting other targets (player, publisher, plug-in) to build? I've builded a binary from your tree with wheel zoom patch and posted it on http://rozeta.com.pl/blende...

Linux binaries

I've created some new binaries of creator for linux. There are still no statically linked files, only dynamical executables. Sorry ! This time they are generated using autoconfiscated blender. The newest one is blendercreator-ph-2.25b-5 There is also blendercreator-ph-2.25b-5-wheel with wheel zoom p...

Not long ...

You can download some binaries even now. Look at
http://rozeta.com.pl/blender/bin/ . There are binaries for debian/GNU/Linux sid distribution (they may work on other dists but it is not very likely).
I think that it would not take long, now we have tree which builds on at least
one arch.

Preliminary makefile

I have succeded to build a preliminary top-level Makefile for the 2.25b tree. It is by no means finished. It is just a first step to get everybody started. I builds on my debian/sid/intel box but I think that it should work on other distributions after minor tweaking. It builds regular binaries (cra...

Other arch

Well,

I think that it should be _DOABLE_, but not very easy. There are some
architectural differences, as far as I can tell. But anyway it would be
good starting point.

I'll post there my tree too. Some more info in Compiling HOWTO threed.

Successfull build (with running binaries)

Well. Using the info from http://www.soylent-green.com/blend/NewCompInfo.txt and some patience I was able to build a non-functional binaries of all importand packages (creator/publisher/player/plugin). All just bus-error/core-dump on startup trying to open initial window. But they go some way along ...
