Re: To Strubi

Hi Strubi, Hi All why is there not more rumor about this great stuff. http://www.section5.ch/?which=1 that's what I'm waiting for. Can that go in the main development ? r/Delle Hi Delle, I don't know whether 'main development' would want to use that library as of now. I am going to document some mo...

it really is useless to compile blender in cygwin, it works and everything but it must run inside the Cygwin X11 window, and is REALLY REALLY slow... I'm trying to get blender to compile with mingw now but my pc is so slow and I'm on a 56k modem, I've almost given up... for now. I might get a new p...

Nice work. I have had a little thread going on in the bf-committers mailing list about where blender goes next for modeling. The tenuous conclusion is that being able to support some kind of winged edge format will allow the development of a host of more advanced modeling tools. Looking at this, it...

Oh my. That 'inofficial stuff' seems have to caused some rumours. First: Thanks for all the positive comments! Great stuff. I have one question though. What is the actual advantage of using this mesh editing system instead of the current one (besides the undo)? In the current one you can select face...

Sorry, took me a little time to get the stuff compiled under cygwin. So, here you find an integration of the xMesh library into blender. More in the blend file in the setup. Cubic unwrapper of course included. Linux version is available on request. http://www.section5.ch/?which=1 Have fun! - Strubi

Hi EditMode-Coders, I've put up a 'hacked' Blender 2.26 at http://www.section5.ch/?which=1 which demonstrates some different EditMode concept with full Undo/Redo stack. I haven't tested that release thoroughly though, since I'm normally working under Linux. Some functionality is still missing. I'm w...

Ok!

Will try to make a win32 compile. At the moment it's only linux..but I hope there's no big changes necessary to compile under mingw/cygwin...
Gimme some time until next week.

I've written a cubic unwrapper for Blender quite some time ago. There should still be some python code around, but I haven't tested it with the latest release. The unwrapper is also available as a C/C++ library, see demo (win32) at: http://www.section5.ch/?which=1&sub=1 I'm currently working on enab...

Re: Blender-Python Board, gurus & coders needed

Hi Michel, I'm currently one of the guys who is working on the Python API. Cool. Hope you don't go nuts with this challenge :-) We've all wasted far too much time on trying to implement a stable solution. I really hope you don't waste yours. Well, at least you can do with the source what you want, n...

Re: Blender-Python Board, gurus & coders needed

In the past, with each new developer coming in, we were confronted with a new vision on how Python should be implemented in Blender. This resulted in incompatibility among releases, and a non-uniform API (game engine vs. rest of Blender). Causing quite some frustrations with our users... Hello ther...
