You mean like the mixed mode that already exists?

SHIFT-click the different select mode-buttons to mix them. It works quite alot like Wings actually. (though I agree about that the selection-mode should stay the same with the first selection you make)

They should work by default. Just make sure your textures are tga or jpeg, PNGs won't work.

If it still don't work, what's your message in the console-window?

How easy do you think it is to make Blender a stable OGL2 app and how long time do you think it would take?... Do you really think it would be ready by tomorrow if we start now? ;)

As I see it, OGL2 should be a Blender3 aim.
